Educational Activities Day 1: Students Learn about Marine Biodiversity in Lemnos.

Aiming to raise awareness and education about the marine biodiversity of Lemnos, the actions in educational institutions of the island started on Monday 18 November. The first visits were made to the Myrina Gymnasium School, the Livadochori Gymnasium School, the Mοudros Gymnasium School, the Moudros Technical School and the Moudros General High School.

The actions focus on the global importance of marine biodiversity, as well as on wider environmental issues related to marine wealth, with particular emphasis on the unique ecosystems of Lemnos. The initiative is implemented with the valuable collaboration of the Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation, an organisation known for its work in marine conservation.

Education for the Future

The activities offer students a unique opportunity to learn about the marine biodiversity of Lemnos and understand the importance of its protection. Through this educational process, young people are invited to develop ideas and practices that will contribute to the conservation of the island’s precious natural wealth.

Lemnos, with its unparalleled natural beauty, is once again showing the way for environmental education and sustainable development.

Lemnos Marine Conservation and Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation express their sincere thanks to the directors of the educational institutions that participated in the activities. Their support was crucial for the implementation of the project and the enthusiastic participation of the students.
Their openness to cooperation and willingness to integrate the project into their educational work is an inspiration to all those working in environmental education. Thank you for being part of this important journey of knowledge and awareness!
